Ikalto Monastery is located 10 kilometers north from Telavi. The monastery was founded by Assyrian holly father Zenon in VI century. Arsen Ikaltoeli created an academy in Ikalto Monastery. The monastery complex includes a temple and ruins of academy building, also there are some old pitchers.

Alverdi cathedral is situated on Alazani valley, near village Alaverdi, in municipalityof Akhmeta, 20 kilometers away from Telavi. The  monastery was founded by Assyrian holly father Joseph in VI century. Alaverdi monastery used to be one of the biggest cultural-educational centers.

Gremi temple is located in village Gremi of Kvareli municipality. A temple of Archangels was built by Levan  – a king of Kakheti. Painting of the walls was finished in 1577. There used to be a wine cellar and a bath on the territory of monastery.

Nekresi monastery is located in Kvareli municipality, near village Shilda. Trdat, a king os Iberia built a temple in Nekresi in IV century. In the VI century Assyrian holy father Abibos settled at that place. The monastery complex includes Basilica of VII century and a temple is dated around VIII-IX centuries.
